A former Magpie of 46 games, Lokan was appointed VFL Senior Coach ahead of season 2026.
Spending the 2003-05 seasons with the Pies, Lokan was strong player at AFL level, before notching up 114 SANFL games with the Port Adelaide Magpies.
He forged his coaching career in South Australia too, becoming Senior Coach of Glenelg in the SANFL between 2015-17, and then taking the reigns of Port Adelaide between 2018-22.
While at the Power, Lokan was Head of Development and worked with their young and developing players.
Since 2023, he has worked as a recruiter in the Magpies' List Management Team, before accepting the VFL role at the end of 2025.
Alongside his role as VFL Senior Coach, Lokan will work as a development coach within the AFL program, strengthening his bond with the young players on the Pies' list.
