Brisbane has made it back-to-back wins with a strong 54-point victory over Collingwood on Thursday night.
The Lions started strongly and were never troubled on their way to a 17.17 (119) to 10.5 (65) victory at the Gabba.
It came after plenty of pre-game drama, as Pies superstar Nick Daicos was withdrawn from the game just 20 minutes before the bounce due to a calf issue.
That was a gigantic blow for the Pies, who battled to stay in touch as they particularly struggled in the middle, beaten 42-24 in clearances.
Will Ashcroft (36 disposals, six clearances and a goal) was excellent for the Lions, while Kai Lohmann kicked four goals.
Recruit Oscar Allen ( three goals) was also good and Logan Morris also chipped in with three majors.
For the Magpies, Dan Houston gathered 32 disposals, including 10 contested possessions, while former Lion Dan McStay booted four majors for the second time in black and white.
