Collingwood Football Club and the Australian Catholic University (ACU) are offering a tax-exempt PhD Scholarship of approximately $30,000 per year for three years, commencing 2011.
The successful candidate will become an integral member of Collingwood Football Club’s Sports Science team and work closely with supervisors in the School of Exercise Science at ACU.
Research will be conducted in sports science and could involve exercise physiology, performance analysis, biochemistry of exercise, strength and conditioning or skill acquisition.
“The club is continuing to be innovative and on the cutting edge in sports science,” said Collingwood's Sports Science Director Dr. David Buttifant.
“Offering this scholarship provides a wonderful opportunity for us to progress with applied research that will help us sustain a competitive advantage.”
Closing Date 11th March 2011.
Note: Scholarship preference is for Australian residents only. Applicants require a research Honours degree or research Masters degree for PhD enrolment.
