The Collingwood Football Club’s Community Football Team capped off an undefeated season with a thrilling victory in the 2026 Reclink Grand Final at Coburg City Oval.
The annual Reclink Grand Final series provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of players and teams across the inclusive football competition.
Attendees of the three-day festivities enjoyed free entry, coffee and BBQ along with music, giveaways and appearances from AFL personalities.
The Pies faced tough competition against the Geelong Powercats – one of the most anticipated match ups of the Grand Final series.
In windy conditions, the first-half between the two sides was tense.
Despite the challenge, the Magpies’ community team stood up and used the main break to reset before producing a commanding response.
The second half was where the magic happened.

Coaches’ Report
Reflecting on the hard-fought win in the rooms post-game, coaches Shane Williams and Collingwood AFLW Development Coach Daniel Wells praised the squad’s composure under pressure and team-first principles.
"The team's response in the second half was incredible," Wells said.
"It was a hard-fought win and they should all be proud. I hope they take this confidence and their momentum into tomorrow and in their futures."
Wells highlighted the group’s ability to stay connected through adversity, noting how every player played their role during the crucial second-half surge.
Grassroots Football
The Collingwood Magpies Community Team is about more than just football.
The team supports socially and economically disadvantaged young people between ages 16-25 years of age. It engages participants through Australian Rules Football as one of the many benefits to both the players’ physical and mental wellbeing.
The Reclink Football League continues to play a vital role in creating structured sports pathways and fostering a sense of belonging, with yesterday's showcase highlighting the positive power of community football.
Following their back-to-back Grand Final success, the participants will finish the season confident as they build towards another strong campaign in 2027.
