Melbourne & Olympic Parks Trust are currently undertaking a major project to replace the Holden Centre Glass Facade over the next 12 weeks.

This will see all glass panels in the façade at the front of the stadium facing the Swan Street Bridge intersection being replaced.

The Holden Centre will remain open throughout the works and the operations of the Holden Centre Reception and the Collingwood Superstore will be unaffected.

All pre-game member events such as The Early Bird will continue to operate as per normal.

During these project works the Bob Rose Statue will also undergo restoration works.

The Holden Centre is the former 1956 Olympic Games Swimming and Diving Stadium and is of major architectural significance as an important landmark in the development of Structuralism Architecture in Australia in the 1950’s.

At the 1956 Olympics, Australia became the top swimming nation for the first time in Olympic history with Dawn Fraser, Murray Rose and Jon Henricks all winning gold medals.

Collingwood moved to the Holden Centre in 2004 and established world class training and event facilities in the heart of the Melbourne & Olympic Parks Precinct, the biggest sports and events precinct in the world.
