Presenting all you need to know about the Dockers ahead of Saturday's big game at Optus Stadium:

Form
Fremantle suffered a big loss to Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval in round one, then hit back by winning its first two matches at its new home ground, Optus Stadium.

The team's form has fluctuated wildly since then. Freo goes into Saturday's match again Collingwood with a not-too-bad 8-13 record, but having suffered some absolute beltings along the way.

The Dockers copped the worst of those losses last weekend when they conceded the last 23 goals to Geelong at GMHBA Stadium and went down by a club-record 133 points.

What they're saying
The following story was published on fremantlefc.com.au on Tuesday:

Fremantle could bring up to four players back from injury when taking on Collingwood at Optus Stadium on Sunday.

According to high performance manager Jason Weber, defender Joel Hamling, ruckman Aaron Sandilands, midfielder Stephen Hill and forward Sam Switkowski are all a chance to return from injury.

Hamling has missed the past three weeks due to a calf injury and returned to training on Tuesday.

Sandilands has played 11 games this season and was a late withdrawal in round 15 against Brisbane after injuring his calf in the warm-up.

Hill has been in and out of the Fremantle lineup with a quad injury and last played for Fremantle against West Coast in round 20.

“Aaron’s progressed quite well in the last couple of weeks from his calf injury,” Weber said.

“He’s done a little bit of work this week so he’ll be a test come Thursday.”

“Joel’s done really well with the small strain in his calf. He trained with the team today so he’ll be up and about by Thursday with the group and, hopefully, available for match committee.

“Stephen progressed against his KPIs on Tuesday morning and we’ll be looking to reassess him again at team training on Thursday.”

Nat Fyfe was one of the few Freo players to give a yelp against the Cats last weekend. The Freo skipper finished with 37 disposals and 117 AFL Fantasy points.

Match report excerpt:
Collingwood has set the stage for an enticing Queen's Birthday showdown with Melbourne, destroying an inexperienced Fremantle side by 61 points to win its third game on the trot and cement its place in the AFL's top eight.

The Magpies thoroughly outclassed the Dockers after quarter-time at the MCG on Sunday, building an insurmountable 34-point lead at half-time and finishing the job to run out 21.12 (138) to 12.5 (77) victors.

Fremantle’s loss could be further compounded with Brownlow Medal favourite Nat Fyfe set to come under match review scrutiny for a high hit on Collingwood’s Levi Greenwood.

Collingwood's work rate, especially through the arcs, was the big difference between the teams, with the Magpies' best runners Tom Phillips (35 disposals, three goals and 596m gained) and Steele Sidebottom (37) influential in the big win.

Both Phillips and Sidebottom run around the six-minute mark over 2km, which is considered at the top echelon of elite, and their ability to cover the ground in such a dominant manner was telling.

Mature-age debutant Brody Mihocek made a sizeable impact in the second quarter, kicking his first goal and being used as an important link between defence and attack.

Mihocek, 25, who played for three VFL clubs and made the move from Tasmania after being overlooked in his under-18 year, is a great example of a player being rewarded for his persistence as the first-gamer finished with four majors.
