Collingwood players were treated to an incredible surprise during training in the Lexus Centre gym on Friday, when the legendary Mr.Bean paid them a visit while on holiday in Australia.Carrying a photo of Collingwood champion Nathan Buckley who he was keen to meet, Mr.Bean walked through the busy gym trying to identify the Collingwood skipper, holding the photo up to a number of stunned Magpie players who were going about their usual gym training. When he finally located Buckley, Mr.Bean beamed with excitement, and Buckley signed the photo for his newest fan. The two took a tour of the gym, where an equally excited Buckley introduced Mr.Bean to several Collingwood stars.A highlight of the visit was when Mr.Bean took Brodie Holland on in a show of speed and endurance on the rowing ergo.Mr.Bean also made fun of the way Paul Medhurst was using the bench press, and announced that the handball drill Josh Fraser, Alan Didak and Danny Stanley were doing together looked easy. Although when Buckley handed Mr.Bean a Sherrin to play with himself, he held it with two fingers before handing it back in confusion. After meeting the players, Mr.Bean was presented with a Collingwood guernsey to commemorate his time at the club, and happily posed for photos for the media throng in attendance.Mr.Bean’s latest movie, ‘Mr.Bean’s Holiday’ starring Rowan Atkinson, will open in cinemas around Australia on 29 March.
