The Peter Daicos Academy (PDA) seeks to preserve and honour our history by nurturing our links to past players.
It aims to create a connection to the club between past players and their children along with youth from those of First Nations and culturally diverse backgrounds.
However the Magpies also align and integrate with our junior football partners the Oakleigh Chargers Coates League team and the Yarra Junior Football League, to enhance and support their football development and talent programs inclusive of all players with potential.
The PDA has three streams:
- Mini Magpies: Boys and Girls 0-10 years of age (Father/mother son/daughters)
- Futures: Boys and Girls 11-15 years of age (Father/mother son/daughters)
- High Performance: Boys and Girls 16-19 years of age (Father/mother son/daughters and NGA eligible)
The Academy aims to foster the skills of talented footballers with the opportunity for participants to utilise Collingwood’s training facility.
Participants have access to experienced coaches and wider football staff, with the ultimate aim to see future players drafted on to our AFL or AFLW lists via the AFL Father/Mother Son/Daughter and NGA draft concessions.
