Collingwood has completed a three-way trade with the Western Bulldogs and the Gold Coast SUNS that will see Mikala Cann become a Bulldog.
In exchange for Cann and Collingwood’s pick 23, Collingwood will receive pick 17 and 26 in the upcoming 2025 Telstra AFLW Draft from the Western Bulldogs.
The 25-year-old has played 76 games in the black and white across eight seasons and has been a part of Collingwood’s AFLW leadership group since 2023.
Celebrating her 75th game against the Gold Coast SUNS, she became the fourth Magpie to achieve the milestone.
Executive General Manager Jess Burger thanked Cann for her contribution to the Club.
“Mikala has played a key role in our football program over the past eight years, and we thank her for her contribution,” Burger said.
“We’ve had honest conversations with Mikala and her management and understand her decision to explore an opportunity with the Bulldogs.
“We are pleased to have come to an agreement that best supports Mikala as a person and the future of our football Club.
“We wish Mikala every success with the next phase of her career.”
