AFLW Senior Coach Sam Wright has made two changes for the Pies’ Friday night clash with the Bulldogs, with Grace Campbell and Annie Lee returning to the side.
Campbell, who missed last week due to an ankle injury will come in for Kalinda Howarth, who sustained a knee injury against the Hawks last Saturday afternoon.
Despite Howarth avoiding any major ligament damage, the lively forward experienced swelling and soreness in her knee and was ruled unavailable for the Round 7 matchup at Mission Whitten Oval.
Lee will also come in for her fifth game of the 2025 season, having last played in Round 4 against North Melbourne.
The 22-year-old comes in for Irish defender Muireann Atkinson, who has been omitted.
Atkinson, Eliza James and Georgia Knight will be the emergencies for the clash.
Friday night will be Collingwood’s second game under lights this season, with their first against Carlton in Round 1 which saw more than 8,000 fans pack out IKON Park in the Thursday night season opener.
The AFL Grand Final-eve primetime clash will be a chance for Wright’s exciting young Pies to secure their third win of the season.
Foundation Magpie Brit Bonnici – who is averaging a career-high 23.7 disposals and nine tackles in her 10th AFLW season – will lace up for game 73 this Friday night.
Round 5 Rising Star nominee Ash Centra will also look to back up last week’s team-high 24 disposal, seven score involvement performance against the Hawks that saw her named Wright’s MVP for Round 6.
Collingwood fans can watch the game live and free on the Seven Network, as well as Fox Footy and kayosports.com.au, with the first bounce at 7:15pm (AEST).
