Josh Fraser
The Club’s first ever number one draft pick – taken back in 1999 – Fraser enjoyed a stellar 200-game playing career with the Pies before moving to the Gold Coast SUNS ahead of their inaugural season in 2011.
He played a further 18 games there throughout 2011-12, before quickly moving into his coaching career.
Taking the reins of the Gold Coast’s NEAFL side in 2014, Fraser spent two years in charge there, before making the move back to Victoria in 2016 to join Carlton as a development coach and their VFL Senior Coach with then-affiliate the Northern Blues.
Between 2016-22, Fraser remained at the Blues, before returning to the Pies in 2023.
Appointed Head of Development and Senior Coach of the Pies’ VFL side, Fraser held this title in 2023-24, before stepping down in 2025 from the VFL head gig.
He remains as Head of Development in 2025 and is a key figure in nurturing the Club’s young talent.
